We provide direct intervention strategies for the workers regarding ineffective work postures, employee complaints, associated bodily injuries, improper application of body-mechanics, and worker fatigue. We introduce a systematic work station redesigning plan with suggested interventions and recommendations regarding injury prevention, corrective positions and postures for identified high risk individuals. Instruction and recommendations provided for the application of correct body-mechanics, efficient work postures, job pacing, and work station redesign. Employee Safety Training
We develop group training presentations regarding safety concerns and issues in the work place. Programs include of safe lifting practices, core strengthening, back care, and the evaluation of upper extremity conditions, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow and rotator cuff issues. In addition, topics may also include nutrition, strength training, and soft tissue injury care, as well as correct application of body-mechanics and ergonomic solutions.
Employee Injury Assessments
We conduct individualized and/or group injury assessments. Connective tissue assessments (includes: bone, nerve, tendon, muscle, capsule & ligament) are conducted and restorative procedures and specific soft tissue intervention strategies are employed. We include postural assessments and suggested corrective strategies as they relate to the employees job tasks and home life. In addition, we discuss self-care management strategies designed to minimize long-term risks, and encourage positive changes regarding health and wellness issues.
Employee Preparation
We teach movement preparation skills, such as stretching, warm-ups, injury prevention training, proper integration of pre & post job task recovery techniques, balance and core strength development. The main objective is to prevent the common repetitive stress/strain overloads and injury patterns through efficient utilization of correct body-mechanics applications and knowledge of ergonomics procedures.
